I was flown out to play in Boulder, Colorado this past Saturday.
I was so excited! I had totally put together a wicked set!

But then...

[RANT ON]

UNITED AIRLINES so totally, completely, and royally messed up this weekend!
I am so pissed off with them!!!

I arrived in Denver, only to find out that my record bag didn't make it on the flight I had just arrived on. Reason being, I transfered flights in Vegas, and had the agent transfer my bags, because United's flights were all totally backed up. Their flights were all delayed over 2 hours, and my set was at 12 midnight in Boulder, so I figured I better just get out to Denver asap. (You never really know what is really going on, because United feeds you so much BS...)
n e ways, i get there and find out that my bags didn't make the transfer, and would be coming in at 10:15pm. I was being picked up along with Kaos, so I didn't want to keep the whole group waiting, and the bag attendant assured me that they would FOR SURE be able to deliver my bags, that very night, about an hour after they would arrive, so i thought o.k. we will just go, and they will deliver the bags by 11:15pm. The seconds were ticking, and I had already called them every 10 minutes since 10:15pm, and my bags were no where to be found. My sweet friend A.J. kindly offers to drive me back to the Denver Airport, but first he calls only to be told that the airport closes at 11pm, and we won't be able to get my record bag, because everything is locked up, and no one is there anymore! SO WHY DID THE UNITED BAGGAGE AGENT TELL ME THEY WOULD DELIVER MY RECORDS THAT NIGHT!!!!!???!!! LIAR!!! UGH!!!!!!
THE BAGGAGE AGENT HAD TO KNOW THE UNLIKELY HOOD OF MY RECORDS REALLY GETTING TO ME IN TIME, AND I TOLD HER MY SITUATION... THAT I WAS PLAYING A SHOW AT MIDNIGHT IN BOULDER!!! IF SHE HAD TOLD ME THERE WAS A CHANCE MY RECORDS MIGHT NOT MAKE IT UP IN TIME I TOTALLY WOULD HAVE WAITED UNTIL 10:14pm *TO GET THEM MYSELF* WHEN THE OTHER FLIGHT CAME IN!!! GEEZ UNITED! YOU REALLY F---ED UP!!!!!! YOU TOTALLY COULD HAVE SAID THERE IS A RISK INVOLVED. IF YOU CAN WAIT, THAT MAY BE A BETTER IDEA!!!!!! YOU TOTALLY COULD HAVE DONE RIGHT BY ME, BUT NO!!!! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF???!!!!!!!!

To top it all off... they delivered my bags at 6am to the venue in Boulder, but I was long gone and all the way in Denver with my friends. Way to go United... WAY TO F---IN' GO!!! You guys are top f---in' notch!!! Un f---in believable!!!

I did my very best to throw a set together on my laptop 20 min. or so before I was up, but man... it was nothing like what i had planned. still had a lot of fun, but man...

UNITED AIRLINES - YOU GUYS SUCK!!!!!!


side note: I already know lesson number 1, but because I was flying with my laptop this time, I checked my records, because otherwise i would have had 3 bags. Time to get a new bag that carries both records, and gigantic, heavy-ass, 17 inch laptop, or a bag that carries records and purse contents, or my laptop and purse contents.
